Pastor Appreciation | October 2016

Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,

As a congregation we are truly blessed to have three godly men serving as ourpastors. Dave, Nate, and Drew have all obeyed God's calling and have dedicated their lives to serve the body of Christ here at Northwest Presbyterian Church. I have been asked, along with fellow elder Lance Bowman, to invite you to show your appreciationfor these men and their families on Sunday, October 9 during Worship.
Our church consists of over 200 families that have been blessed by ourPastors through things things such as sermons, teaching, prayer, personal visits, conversations and more. On October 9, we will be showing our appreciation for them in several ways:

  • First, it would awesome to set an attendance record by having as many of the 200 families present to Worship that day!
  • Also, we will be spending a special time in prayer for them as they are asked to come forward along with their wives so that we can stand and show our support in a tangible way.
  • Finally, we would like to present them with a cash gift. Last year we were able to collect almost $3,000 to split between the three men. It would be great to exceed that amount this year. You can give online easily here!!  We can also accept check donations (nondeductible). They will need to be made payable to NPC and "Pastor Appreciation" should be notated in the memo section of the check.

If you can't give anything at this time, we would still love to have you join us during this special service to honor our Pastors. In the past, we have asked you to send notes of encouragement, but this year there will be a video salute shown during the service instead. Please remember, this is all a surprise so please do not mention this to any of the Pastors or their families! Lance and I look forward to celebrating and worshipping with you on Sunday, October 9, a day that promises to be a highlight in the life of our church!!
