Ash Wednesday Worship

Wednesday, March 6 at 6:30 pm

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season when we are reminded of the reality of our broken humanity and seek to experience with greater abundance the reality of God’s redeeming grace. Our worship will include times for contemplation, prayer, a special message from Pastor Nate, and we will celebrate The Lord's Supper. Nursery childcare will be provided.

If you were to describe a follower of Christ to a friend, what would you say? On Ash Wednesday we get one final snapshot in our sermon series by looking at the disciple’s vocation. The passage in Luke 19 is appropriate for our special service in that it helps us consider what is most valuable and how we (who are disciples) will spend our time and energy in this life. The parable we read exhorts us to rightly consider our brevity by focusing our work and effort on pleasing our Lord and Savior.
